A conglomeration of several overgrown villages, Chennai is the state capital of Tamil Nadu. The city has developed getting a cohesive shape under the British rule and today South India's hot commercial and cultural capital and the fourth largest metropolis in India.

Bearing the testimony to the city's antiquity is Kapaleeshwara temple in Mylapore and Parthasarathy temple at Triplicane. Chennai today is a dynamic mix of the old and new culture and the MNC's and corporate having setup at the commercial centre, huge people move to the city finding a great job opportunity. Fort St. George, being the British's first bastion in India, still remains the city's most attractive destination. Designed and constructed were the sloping Ramparts along with battlement for gun emplacement still existing in this place. Standing to the South of the building is St. Mary's Church, one of the oldest Anglican church consisting of the antique Bibles, Memorials and silver which explains the vibrant history. Built in the Gothic-style structure during 1898 is the Basilica of Santhome, having an ornate interior with magnificent stained -glass windows. Being one of the largest metropolis paves way for many traders and as a result a best place for shopping where you can get all kind of goods at the best cheap rates. Panagal Park, Pondy Bazaar and Burma Bazaars allows people of all kind to pick goods at bargain prices. Other than the best entertaining factor at Chennai would be relaxing at the beach in the evening.

Kalashetra, suggesting this place to westerners will really give them the chance to know more about our culture and tradition. NOTE: It is an institution and not a usual sightseeing place. And visitors cannot expect to see dance or any other form of artistic activities inside this campus when they go there but they can enjoy the ambience, the way the classes are conducted, lectures given by professionals etc. It is the temple of art and all who work here as tutors are the students from this same institution. So if you are planning suggest this place do give them the clear information, Timing allowed 9:00 am to 11:30 am.

Morning prayer can also be witnessed with prior permission and it is from 8:30 am to 9:00 am. Holidays on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and also on summer etc

Elliot's beach

Elliot's beach (Besant Nagar Beach), this can surely be suggested to the clients instead Marina. It covers almost 2 kilometers and most of the VVIP's in Chennai use this beach for their morning walk, jogging etc so the cleanliness is quite maintained well here comparing to Marina. And all the famous temples Asthalaxmi Temple, Velankanni Church, Arupadai Murugan Temple in Besant Nagar.

We already include this in our plan for the guests who drives from Chennai to Mahabalipuram. It is located on the East Coast Road at Muttukadu - 21 kms South of Chennai. It is closed on all TUESDAYS and on Diwali day. Rest all the days it is opened.
