Badami is located in the Karnataka state, southern part of India. The Agastya Lake surrounds the place and is known for its structural temples and rocks. The temples are built in the South Indian style of architecture. The carvings of the monuments and architecture will attract the tourists.

Best Places to visit

Cave Temples There are four Cave temples carved out of red sandstones of the hill. One is dedicated to Lord Shiva, two other is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the last one is the Jain Temple.

Bhutanatha Temples It is a group of sandstone shrines dedicated to Lord Bhutanatha. The temple contains the architectural form of different periods. There are two lake side Bhuthanatha temples resembling the south Indian style of architecture.

The Archeological Museum All the best examples for sculpture are collectively maintained in the Mueseum

Aihole It is located around 43 kms away from Badami. Earlier it was the capital of Chalukya region and it has almost 70 monuments in and around the village.

Pattadakal It is located around 16 kms from Badami. Virupaksha Temple and Mallikarjuna temple are the most interesting monuments here.
