Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary

Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Idukki district of Kerala. It spreads across 90 km in the Annamalai Hills. It serves as a home for many species of plants, mammals, reptiles, animals and many other migratory birds with perfect ecological and cultural aspects. The forest has Eravikulam National Park in the south and Indira Gandhi wildlife sanctuary in the west. The forests, scrub, grasslands, and less amount of rainfall make this place a perfect one for trekking. The sandalwood forest and eco-tourism activities attract the tourists.
